CREATIVE
CO-WORKING
SPACE

Calling all solopreneurs, creators, freelancers, and artists! Do you love the freedom of what you do, yet sometimes yearn for more support?

The Creative Co-working Space is for you!

We have co-working sessions three to four times a week, weekly workshops and a friendly network to plug into.

You’ll get to work alongside a group of fellow freelancers, while keeping the autonomy of working alone. The best of both worlds.

The Creative Co-working space has been a revelation. I work on my own a lot of the time and sometimes I feel indecisive, unmotivated and overwhelmed. Turning up in a space with other people helps me to….well turn up!

Whether just working quietly together or sharing images, ideas, newsletters, accountancy software packages, you name it, it provides a working structure that leaves me feeling less isolated and more motivated. These are lovely, open, creative people, it’s a very safe environment to make work and share.

Mondays - 2-4
Wednesdays- 3-5
Thursdays - 2-4
Fridays 10 - 12

Weekly workshops

You are invited to two 1-hour workshops each week.

We’ll be looking at shared issues and dilemmas that face us running Buddhist businesses. Such as; alternatives to social media, ways to keep creative at work, how to run a calm yet profitable business. As well as practical issues, like getting our head around SEO, easy bookkeeping and running a mailing list.

Workshops (uk time):
Wednesdays 5-6
Fridays 12-1

Peer support

When working alone, we can long for someone to talk through our business dilemmas with. In the Creative Co-working Space, you’ll find a bunch of people you can run your ideas by, get advice or share your own skills with.

One-to-one coaching:
Maybe you would benefit from one-to-one coaching? The membership does not include this, but I offer one-to-one sessions alongside it.

The creative co-working community keeps me focussed on my projects and has helped me to establish good habits around my work. I get a lot of inspiration and new ideas from what the others are doing. Vajradarshini is guiding the space with a lot of kindness and clarity.

Vajradarshini on the allotment

Hi, I’m Vajradarshini,

I’ve run an online business teaching creative approaches to Dharma practice for the last eight years. Before that I’d always worked in teams. So which do I prefer?

I’d prefer to have the best of both worlds. That’s where you come in! I loved the freedom and autonomy of working alone... but then I longed for pals to work alongside.

In the Creative Co-working Space I’ve been joined by an international bunch of creative entrepreneurs. Between us we have a huge number of skills: web-design, photography, writing, teaching (online and live), social media and creating community.

And together we are learning about SEO, mailing lists, marketing, accounting and all the nuts and bolts of running a business.

The Red Ladder Workplace is for you if you are Buddhist (or even Buddhish) and navigating how to run an ethical business that supports practice and gives you a decent income.

I hope you’ll join us!

I have been part of the co-working space since it began in March 20204, and have found it invaluable in my working life.

Being self employed, often working and planning things by myself on my computer at home, it has been so helpful to share a virtual space with other people doing similar things. It has helped me structure my time, helped me commit to and complete projects I might otherwise have avoided!

The support and friendship of the group has been amazing. We share problems as well as solutions, ideas, and inspirations. There is a common thread between us, that we are doing this alongside our spiritual practice, that this work is done with integrity and kindness, not led by profit. It was a space I didn’t know I needed and now know it is essential to my wellbeing as well as my business.

✓ Co-working sessions each week
✓ Weekly workshops
✓ Peer group support
Joining the co-working sessions and workshops has improved my working week hugely. It helps motivate me and discipline me to get on with my desk work and also progress plans with practical actions, including those things I put off for many reasons.

Working alongside each other in a collective online space - and in view of each other (if we wish) - breaks down the sense of isolation I can experience as a self- employed person. And the workshops are such a great place to get and give feedback, brainstorm ideas, and trouble shoot on many things, from IT to ethics, publicity to pricing. Everyone shares tips and skills generously. It’s all incredibly supportive.

Before I joined, I wondered if it would be one more thing on the ’to do’ list and just more screen time, but it’s been completely the opposite. I really missed our meet ups when everyone was away on holiday.

Vajradarshini has created a beautiful place of creativity and generosity, 2 of her foremost qualities as a Dharma practitioner. I love being part of it.
